Regardless, he’s been a completely different pitcher in 2009 and has transformed into the pitcher that we’ve known in previous years. Ben Sheets (2008: 3.09 ERA 2009: Has not played) Sheets remains unsigned, although has been rehabbing in Arlington, Texas under close watch by the Texas Rangers.He's suffered from a history of injury problems and this season has been no exception after undergoing off-season surgery. Cole Hamels (2008: 3.09 ERA 2009: 4.69 ERA) While Hamels won a World Series last year, he was also pitching a ridiculous amount of innings, over 250. The southpaw has failed to repeat his 2008 campaign, however, has remained a staple in the Phillies rotation.
