Jul 17 Choo (thumb) will likely not need a rehab assignment and could
be activated within a week as a result, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Recommendation: Choo took batting practice indoors on Friday and plans
to take outdoor batting practice at some point this weekend. If all goes
well he could be activated shortly thereafter. Indians manager Manny
Acta also said that Choo may be able to rejoin the club without going
