Youkilis leaves game with jammed thumb
Youkilis left Monday's game against the Indians with a jammed right thumb,
MLB.com's Ian Browne reports.
Recommendation: The Red Sox can ill-afford another injury, so hopefully this
isn't a serious setback for Youkilis. Assuming it's just a a jam and not any
type of tear or fracture, it might just be a day-to-day thing.

Reds 1B Votto out with sprained wrist
Votto reportedly "tweaked" his wrist while taking a swing in Sunday's game,
John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Recommendation: Votto does not believe the injury is serious and hopes to be
back soon, but he will not play on Monday. The Reds will likely be cautious
with Votto so he does not further injure the wrist, but consider him
day-to-day for now.
