The Royals don't expect Salvador Perez to return from the bereavement list
until Tuesday.
Advice: Perez has been away from the team since last Friday following the
death of his grandmother in Venezuela. Players are only permitted to stay on
the bereavement list for seven days, so he will miss a few days' pay for
exceeding the limit. According to the Kansas City Star, one possible reason
for the delay is that he is working on bringing his mother back to the United
States with him.
