Angels shut down Albert Pujols for season
The Angels have shut Albert Pujols (foot) down for the remainder of the season. Pujols had been holding out hope that he could return from the partial tear of his left plantar fascia before the end of the season, but it was never likely to happen. He won't undergo surgery but is expected to be fully healthy by the time spring training rolls around.
