Puyol: "we'll pull through"
Despite the hurt of the defeat, Carles Puyol accepted responsibility
and assured fans that the team would pull through.
"We mustn't drop our heads. We had chances to draw, but they just
wouldn't go in. We really tried to get back into the game, but it
just wasn't to be. We really gave everything in the second half and
that meant we had to take risks- we knew that could open us up to the
counter attack. We've not played that well in the last few games, but
we're going to get things right. As for the ref - well I'd prefer to
make no comment.

Laporta: "we'll put things right"
Club President Joan Laporta sent fans a message of stability and calm
after the defeat: "I'm very sad, but not down. We'll continue to progress
and work hard to consolidate the team. We knew it wouldn't be easy, but
I'd ask the fans to continue to keep faith in us and our project. There's
nothing decided in the league yet and we're still in the hunt for a Champions
League spot, without ruling out anything else. Ronaldinho should be back
against Espanyol and I'm sure we can turn things round".
