Marseille reached an agreement with the striker's current club Strasbourg.

The Stade Velodrome outfit put in a final bid of ￡4.3m earlier this week,
and although their rivals from Alsace had been hoping for more, it seems the
two parties have found common ground.

"OM and RC Strasbourg have come to an agreement this evening on Mamdou
Niang's move to Marseille," read a statement on the Mediterranean club's
website.
"OM are due to meet with the player tomorrow to make the signing official."
