Sporting's Danny joins Dynamo Moscow

LISBON (AFP) - Sporting Lisbon forward Miguel "Danny" Gomes has signed a
three-year contract with Dynamo Moscow with an option for another two years.
"I am going to try my luck. It is a new stage and I expect to be happy," he
told Thursday's edition of the sports daily Record before boarding a flight to
Istanbul where he was to join Dynamo at their training camp.
The 21-year-old player, who was born in Venezuela, moved to Sporting from
Maritimo in 2002 but has had little time on the pitch.
Earlier this week Boavista agreed to transfer their Portuguese international
defender Nuno Frechaut to Dynamo Moscow also on a three year contract with an
option for two more.
Both Gomes and Frechaut were members of Portugal's Olympic team last year.
