Koeman demands respect for Benfica after Liverpool exit
Benfica manager Ronald Koeman believes their win over Champions League title
holders Liverpool will finally earn them respect in Europe.

Koeman claimed Liverpool's early failings in front of goal were the major
factor behind their exit this time after last season's comeback to beat AC
Milan on penalties in the final.

But Benitez claimed the turning point of the tie came in the 36th minute when

"We created chances and couldn't score and then made a mistake for their goal
and everything changed," Benitez told reporters.
"We needed to score the first goal and from then on they could play on the
counter attack and they are very good at that.
"I'm really disappointed because we had a lot of confidence before the game
and believed winning the tie was possible."
