Jesualdo Ferreira's FC Porto have made a strong case for retaining their
current Superliga (a.k.a. Bwin Liga) title with a storming 3-0 victory away at
Estrela de Amadora.
All in all four teams have registered a full haul of points in the two rounds
that will be completed after Uniao de Leiria host Beira-Mar in tonight's
second round closer – neither able to make it to six points after registering
draws in the opening round action.
Sporting Lisbon was the only one of the other two Portuguese great clubs (the
third being the Benfica who were humiliated away by Boavista on Saturday) to
keep pace with the Dragoes, although Bento's Leoes lag behind on goal
difference.
