Benfica number 21 Nuno Gomes was left as downcast as the rest of his team-
mates as he walked off the Celtic Park pitch with the ashes of a 3-0 drubbing
still warm in his mouth. Despite the fact that, after three matches, the
Encarnados have just one lonely point he's not giving up the ghost right now.
"This defeat leaves serious problems for us, but I still haven't given up
hope on an eventual classification. We need to grab all the remaining points
and cross our fingers that the other teams [in Group F – Manchester United,
Copenhagen FC and Celtic] make their mistakes and we can close the gap",
explained the Portugal and Benfica centre-forward.
這場失利給我們很大的麻煩，不過我還沒放棄希望。

"We're going to keep on fighting right up to the moment when it's
mathematically impossible, but where there's life, there's hope", he added.
"It wasn't really the first goal, but the second goal [scored by Miller as he
bagged his brace] killed us. We didn't play well as a team but I thought that
to let in three was a hard blow."

事實上不是第1個而是第2個進球扼殺了我們。
做為一個團隊我們踢得並不好，但是被進3個球是很沉重的打擊。
Nuno Gomes was particularly annoyed about the lack of a danger edge from
Benfica as the Lisbon giants have yet to score after over 270 minutes of
Champions League play. "I had very few opportunities to score, other team-
mates had some but didn't manage to convert them into goals, sometimes through
sheer bad luck like when Nuno Assis hit the woodwork. Anyway, back to work,"
ended the striker, down but not out.
對於Benfica到目前為止都還沒取得進球。
Nuno Gomes說，
我只有非常少的機會射門，其他隊友有一些但是沒能轉為進球。
有時候像是Nuno Assis踢中橫樑則是全然的運氣不好。不管怎樣，就是繼續努力。
