Maritimo man Ariza Makukula was the sensation of the day for Portugal as he
made his absolute debut with a decisive goal just twenty minutes after coming
on for Hugo Almeida in a goalless second half. Despite the rampant praise he’
s keeping his feet firmly on the ground.
The striker who was born in Zaire but represented Portugal along with
Cristiano Ronaldo at Under 21 level has rejected the label of being hero of
the day. "I'm not the hero of the day; all of us were heroes", he stressed
after the match.
Kinshasa-born Makukula replaced Nuno Gomes at short notice, being contacted
while on a mini-break in Brussels. He first thought it was a practical joke,
but was left laughing at the end after coming on for Hugo Almeida and
breaking the stalemate.
He also added that he wore a talisman given to him by a fellow Quinas. "I
played wearing Fernando Meira's boots and they appear to have been a lucky
charm", he revealed. "When I scored I felt a real rush of happiness",
he added.
Continuing in the same humble vein, Makukula also admitted that Ricardo
Quaresma deserved a lot of credit for the phenomenal pass that the on-loan
Sevilla striker nodded into the net. "With a cross like that all you have
to do is say 'yes' to the ball."

繼上週末客場戰勝亞塞拜然後，本輪預選賽葡萄牙隊依靠天降奇兵，客場２比１擊敗
哈薩克，向最後四輪四連勝的目標又邁進了一步。
此役斯科拉里由於遭禁賽依舊只能無奈作壁上觀。教練組派出了與上輪完全相同的首
發陣容。然而整個上半場，從葡萄牙身上幾乎看不到他們慣有的靈感和創造性。無論是Ｃ
羅納爾多的任意球攻門、卡瓦略的沖頂還是馬尼切的遠射嘗試，都離進球相距甚遠。
易邊之後，遲遲未能打破僵局使球員們逐漸急躁。下半場中段，助理教練穆托薩先後
用納尼和馬庫庫拉替換下馬尼切和阿爾梅達，事實證明，後者正是此役葡萄牙隊的奇兵和
救星。他上場後不到10分鐘便獲得機會，在弧頂前得球後趟過後衛大力抽射遠角偏出。第
84分鐘，奎雷斯馬右路底線傳中，落點恰到好處，大塊頭馬庫庫拉在門前１米處躍起輕鬆
頭槌入網，讓全隊上下終於松了一口氣。
比分領先讓葡萄牙球員的心態恢復了平靜，並在最後時刻接連打出幾次精彩進攻。第
89分鐘，納尼在左路小角度挑射打中邊網。兩分鐘後他在幾乎同一位置得球，這次塞給了
中路跟上的羅納爾多，後者左腳勁射破網，奠定勝局。終場哨響前一刻，主隊利用客隊後
衛線的漫不經心，布亞科夫小禁區內頭球入網，挽回些顏面。
葡萄牙隊此役全取３分，最大功臣莫過於因戈麥斯受傷而火線入隊的黑人前鋒馬庫庫
拉。這位５天前還與葡萄牙成年國家隊沒有任何關聯的球員，在短短幾天內便獲得了首次
披上國家隊戰袍和完成國家隊處子入球的雙重驚喜。
馬庫庫拉現年26歲，出生於剛果，在葡萄牙前主帥奧利維拉的召喚下加入葡國籍並代
表葡萄牙青年隊出戰。本賽季，他被西甲的塞維利亞租借到葡超的馬里蒂莫，目前在葡超
射手榜上位居第二。
馬庫拉拉最近一周的曲折經歷足以拍成一部喜劇電影。上週末接到斯科拉里的邀請時
，他正與家人在比利時度假，隨身一無球鞋二無護照（因為根本沒想過近期走出申根區）
。俱樂部馬上派人連夜趕往比利時，卻在途中弄丟了行李，於是馬庫庫拉不得不在沒鞋穿
的情況下匆匆與國家隊匯合。
足協官員在哈薩克好不容易找到一家鞋店有賣馬庫庫拉45碼的球鞋，老闆說：買鞋可
以，但要讓我跟羅納爾多拍張照。於是巨星出馬解決了45碼鞋的問題，但最終因為腳感不
好，馬庫庫拉沒有選擇穿那雙鞋出場，而是借走了替補席上梅拉的戰靴……還好這粒進球
是頭球打進的，不然梅拉是不是也要來搶功呢？
