Forget says he could have lost his job Sun 8 February, 2004 22:00 METZ, France, Feb 8 (Reuters) - France captain Guy Forget felt his job was under threat if his team had failed to reach the Davis Cup quarter-finals on Sunday. "I felt under pressure... it's something I can't let go," said Forget, whose team beat Croatia 4-1 to secure a replay of last year's quarter-finals against Switzerland in April. "If we had not won the tie, there would have been only one person responsible for it -- me. "And this is despite the results I've had. I'm getting hopping mad. "There is a campaign against me, against Jean-Claude Massias (the technical national director) and against all those who are on the pitch." France were champions in 2001 before finishing runners-up in to Russia the following year. Forget, who had dropped long-serving doubles specialist Fabrice Santoro from the tie against Croatia because of "differences of opinion", said the players were behind him, as well as some of the federation representatives. He added: "I'm not in a personal war against the president of the federation (Christian Bimes). I don't want to be elected (as president), I'm not interested in politics.
