French teenagers Tatiana Golovin and Richard Gasquet clinched the Roland
Garros mixed doubles crown on Friday, upsetting fourth seeded Zimbabwean
pair, and 2002 champs, Wayne Black and sister Cara 6-3 6-4.
Golovin, 16, and Gasquet, 17, have been touted as France's next great
champions, and are the first French pairing since Durr and Barclay 31
years ago to lift the Marcel-Bernard Cup.
The unseeded French pair, who received a wildcard to enter this event,
were clearly the stronger team and were never put in danger through the
one hour, 12 minute contest, despite blowing a match point in the eighth
game on Golovin's serve.
But Gasquet stood firm on Court Philippe Chatrier and carried the pair
to victory on his serve two games later.

"I am more interested in playing good tennis than in the victory. It is
great to be here. The level of players is so high. It is great for me to
be practicing with such players and be playing against them in tournaments.
I can only benefit from this experience."----------------Richard Gasquet
