2003 IN REVIEW The young Frenchman finished as youngest player in Top 100 and had outstanding year on Challenger circuit... Compiled a 34-13 record and four titles in Challenger play... Began year in Adelaide where he defeated countryman Di Pasquale in three sets to reach 2nd RD but lost to A. Martin... Made debut at Australian Open and lost to No. 31 seed Youzhny in 1st RD... Picked up only other ATP win in Marseille where he defeated F. Lopez in three sets on home soil before retiring in match with O. Rochus with strained left thigh injury... Lost in 1st RD of next five ATP events at Miami, Monte Carlo, Roland Garros, Metz and Paris... Recorded second career Challenger title in early March at Sarajevo (d. D. Norman)... Also was victorious in Challenger tournaments at Napoli (d. Muller), Reggio Emilia (d. Starace) and Grenoble (d. Levy)... Entered Top 100 in rankings for first time following win in Grenoble...
