It never goes to really bad if you're the best." "And then if you drop to world No. 2, everything that was very good is only good now." Rogi說他已經過了那個需要向別人證明自己、展現自己的階段，他知道自己已經達成很多成就、而且仍然想成就更多，他依然很有動力、而且很享受這些。他的背也好很多了，讓他可以用他想要的方式來打球。他沒有選擇休養來療傷，反而是與他的傷病共存、以這樣的身體狀況來繼續比賽。 "Maybe I should have just said 'you know what, I'm not playing until I'm 100 per cent', but that's not me - I don't care if I lose a few matches too many. I'd rather face the music and just go out there and get hit on the head and at least I know where I'm at." 提到了新教練Annacone。Rogi說 "What I always try to think back was 'what did make me a good player back in '02, '03, '04 when I made the break, why was I such a great player and so forth?'Sometimes it's right in front of you and you can't see it any more......" 這時候就需要像Paul這樣的"局外人"來提點。他承認他的反手拍變得習慣切球，攻擊性不夠。這種保守的打法Rogi並不特別喜歡。他要在球場上be creative，這樣他才enjoy。 "That means trying all sorts of things out and then, when I let my natural ability just go crazy, that's when I'm at my best."
