Tim Henman and Greg Rusedski continue their battle for the British number
one spot at the Madrid Masters this week.
Henman faces a tough opening test against Taylor Dent in Monday's late
match at approximately 2100 BST.
Rusedski, who does not play on Monday, opens against Ivo Karlovic with
Andy Roddick waiting in round two.
With Roger Federer, Leyton Hewitt, Andre Agassi and defending champion
Marat Safin all injured, Rafael Nadal starts as favourite.
Nadal has won just one of three matches he has played at the indoor event
in the past but comes to Madrid this year as top seed and French Open
champion.
"I want to put in a good performance in Madrid and improve my results
here," said the 19-year-old.

"I've never found my form here, that's why I've prepared more carefully
this time. I'd love to win here."
Henman returned in Vienna last week after a lengthy lay-off with a back
problem, beating Antony Dupuis before losing to Radek Stepanek in three sets.
"Obviously I wanted to do better in terms of going a bit deeper into the
tournament," Henman told his website.
"But considering all the problems I've had this year I view it a very
successful tournament.
"Now I've got to try and build on that here in Madrid."
The tournament is also likely to create stories away from the main action
as it repeats last year's experiment of using models as ball girls.
Organisers were also forced to change their original decision to ditch
the doubles in support of the ATP in the row over changes to the two-man
format.
Attention will also be focused on Mariano Puerta, who has become embroiled
in a doping row after French newspaper L'Equipe reported he had tested
positive for a banned stimulant at Roland Garros.
Puerta, who has denied the report, simply said: "My aim now is to qualify
for the Masters Cup."
