Murray loses to rival Ancic in NZ
Andy Murray's inability to win some big points cost him as he lost to
the Croat Mario Ancic 6-3 7-6 in the second round of the Heineken Open in
Auckland.
Fifth seed Ancic broke Murray's serve in the sixth game of the opening
set, going on to take it 6-3.
But the 18-year-old Scot fought back and had the chance to take the
contest to a deciding set but was unable to capitalise on two set points.
Murray said: "I just didn't take my chances. I didn't serve well."
After surviving that scare Ancic never looked back, breaking Murray's
serve on the ninth point on his way to a 7-4 tie-break win.
Murray added: "In the first set I had break point on his first service game
and was 30-0 up on one of his other service games.
"He is obviously a very good player, much more experienced than me, but I
need to start winning these matches against the better players."
