The Briton followed up his wins over Andre Agassi and Ramon Delgado with a 6-3 6-4 victory, setting up a clash with Russian nemesis Dmitry Tursunov. Tursunov, the 15th seed, beat Henman at this year's French Open and Australian Open as well as Wimbledon in 2005. Henman was impressive on serve against Frenchman Mahut, taking the first set without facing a break point. Breaks in games five and seven of the second set were enough to seal the win.
