In-form Henman reaches last eight
Tim Henman continued his good run at Queen's by seeing off qualifier
Nicolas Mahut to reach the quarter-finals.
The Briton followed up his wins over Andre Agassi and Ramon Delgado
with a 6-3 6-4 victory, setting up a clash with Russian nemesis
Dmitry Tursunov.
Tursunov, the 15th seed, beat Henman at this year's French Open and
Australian Open as well as Wimbledon in 2005.
Henman was impressive on serve against Frenchman Mahut, taking the first
set without facing a break point.
Breaks in games five and seven of the second set were enough to seal the
win.
"I feel very happy with the way I'm serving," Henman told BBC Sport. "It's
always going to be a big factor on grass.
"You can pick your spots and set your points up and that's what I've been
doing. I feel like I'm getting more bite and movement on the ball.

"I think if anything I'm a bit stronger than last year. We went to France at
the end of last year and did some physical testing and that has helped my
back and helped the way I'm moving.
"I feel quick and strong and that's a good combination."
Tursunov made the last eight with a 6-3 3-6 6-1 defeat of Taiwan's
Yeu-Tzuoo Wang.
Australian eighth seed and three-times Queen's winner Lleyton Hewitt
reached the last eight with a 4-6 6-1 7-6 victory over Max Mirnyi of Belarus.
He will next meet top seed Rafael Nadal who struggled to a 2-6 7-6 7-6
victory over compatriot Fernando Verdasco.
Top seed Nadal feels the pressure against Verdasco
Verdasco, ranked 30 in the world, needed treatment on his back and thigh
before the third set started but Nadal's superior fitness told and he took
victory on his third match point.
"It will be a very, very tough match, Hewitt is one of the best on grass,"
said Nadal.
"I can't think of winning the tournament, only this next match."
Second-seeded Ivan Ljubicic, who has won just two matches on grass in
three years, was beaten 7-6 (11-9) 7-5 by rising French star Gael Monfils.
Three-time defending champion Andy Roddick saved three first-set
points against Thailand's Paradorn Srichaphan before winning 7-6 (7-5) 6-3.
James Blake topped Robby Ginepri 6-3 3-6 6-3 in an all-American clash,
and Chilean sixth seed Fernando Gonzalez overcame Australian wild card Mark
Philippoussis 6-2 3-6 6-3.
