Murray strolls to win over Chela
Andy Murray dumped world number 16 Juan Ignacio Chela out of the Madrid
Masters with a sensational 6-1 6-3 win.
The British number one was completely dominant and raced to a 5-0 lead
on his way to clinching the first set.
Chela improved in the second set and he broke Murray in the sixth game,
but by that point the Scot was two breaks up which proved too much to claw
back.
The 20-year-old will face either Marcos Baghdatis or second seed Rafael
Nadal in the third round.

Murray took 67 minutes to complete his match against Chela, although at
one stage it seemed like the contest would end before reaching the hour mark.
If I play like that I've got a good chance of going a long way here

His dominance in the first set was awesome, with the Argentine a poor
second best when it came to second serve returns, primarily because of
Murray's fantastic power and precision from the baseline.
The second set followed a similar pattern, with Murray cruising to a 4-1
advantage that included a fifth game which produced two unbelievable efforts
down the line.
"They were two great points. It was really nice, there was a really good
atmosphere in there tonight," he said.
"I thought maybe after (Roger) Federer's match some people might leave, but
there was a lot of people there and they supported both of us really well and
they tried to get Chela back into the match, which was good."
A chink in Murray's seemingly impenetrable armour was exposed when he was
broken in game six of the second set.

He also came close to being broken in the eighth, but an ace secured the
game before the Scot made a mockery of Chela's serve in the next to tie up
the match.
"To beat two players of Stepanek and Chela's quality back-to-back, dropping
nine games, is awesome," said Murray.
"They've both been playing well the last few months and it's really good for
me to feel I can play at that level consistently again, but I want to keep
that up for the rest of the tournament because I the matches only get tougher
now.
"I do feel like if I play like that I've got a good chance of going a long
way here."
Elsewhere, Roger Federer returned to action with a battling 7-6 (7-2)
6-4 win over American qualifier Robby Ginepri.
It was Federer's first ATP match since winning his fourth US Open early
in September.
"It's tough to find a rhythm after time out. It's much easier in practice,"
said Federer.
"I managed to serve myself out of trouble once or twice which was encouraging
and all in all I am happy with my performance."
Meanwhile, fourth seed Nikolay Davydenko pulled out of the tournament
because of an elbow injury he struggled with in practice.
"I can't play here and I decided it's too dangerous for me to play this week,
and I am going to try and recover for the next tournament if possible," he
said.
"I can play but the doctor said that if I do play the recovery will take
longer and longer. It would be better if I don't play."
