Heather Watson (born 19 May 1992) is a British female tennis player currently
playing on the junior circuit. Born in Guernsey, she trains at the Nick
Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Florida, USA. Watson has won one major title
– the 2009 US Open Junior title – and one other senior title – the $10,000
Frinton – and won gold at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games. She is
coached by Andrew Fisher, and as of 7 September 2009 (2009 -09-07)[update]
Watson is top ranked female junior in the United Kingdom,[1] and is rated as
the British senior women's number 21. In the world, Watson is the 14th
ranked junior for girls singles, and is the world number 764.
