It didn't really matter who ended up with what seed, but the Grizzlies still wanted to come away with the victory to break out of their current funk. But turnovers and a bad first quarter doomed the Grizz who lost their third straight and fifth out of their last six games with a 110-103 defeat. Now that the team is cemented into the sixth spot, they get the chance to play the role of spoiler when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves in the last game of the season. The Grizzlies had their regular starting lineup in the game for the first time in months and yet the outcome just wasn't the same. Pau Gasol returned to the lineup after missing the last four games with an injured foot and center Lorenzen Wright made his way back into the starting lineup after being used off the bench since coming back from an injured knee. The Mavs jumped all over Memphis in the first quarter and raced out to a 31-18 lead after one. Dallas extended the lead to 16-points at halftime and by then it was too much for the Grizz to overcome. The Mavs took a 22-point lead in the second half and didn't allow the Grizzlies to get too close. It left the team thinking ahead to the Minnesota game, rather than what happened in Dallas. "We want to shake up the top four," Bonzi Wells, who returned from a back injury and led the Grizz with 27 points, said to The Commercial Appeal. "Coach Brown is kind of upset with us. We have to get back in his good graces." Hubie Brown isn't too happy about the fact that his Grizzlies have lost three straight games and face the possibility of heading into the playoffs on a losing skid. But at the same time he realizes that the team has been going through some tough injuries and just wants to see the team get healthy in time for the first round. "Our main goal," Brown said to The Commercial Appeal, "is to get (Pau) Gasol and Wells back working well in their units. Our goal is to make sure they get their timing back." While Wells had a great game off the bench in 25 minutes of play Gasol struggled in his 26 minutes, hitting just three of his 13 shot attempts and scoring just 10 points. The big man knows it could take some time and that he just needs to get back in the groove in order to help out the team. "I'm just trying to get my touch back; get my legs back," Gasol said to The Commercial Appeal. "It hasn't been that long but it feels like it's been a long time." The Grizz would like to get a win before heading into the post-season and they will have that chance on Wednesday night when they play the Minnesota Timberwolves in the season finale. The Wolves have a shot at the top seed in the conference and all they need is a win to get that. The Grizz can ruin the Wolves chance of doing that while breaking out of their funk at the same time. The outcome of this game will could determine who the Grizzlies get in the first round of the playoffs and the team knows that a lot of people will be interested in what happens in Memphis tonight. "Our game is the biggest game in the West," Grizz coach Hubie Brown said. "There will be a lot of people in the Western Conference watching this game. Hopefully, we'll play much better." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- TEAM NOTES Before the game, the Grizz activated forward Ryan Humphrey and placed center Jake Tsakalidis on the injured list with a (wink) sprained ankle. The move was made primarily so that the little-used Humphrey could get playing time before season's end according to the Commercial Appeal. Humphrey, who enjoyed six minutes of playing time, will also play tonight. As of Saturday night, the Grizzlies had sold more than 32,000 of the 38,000 available tickets for the first two home games of the playoff series. With only 6,000 tickets remaining for both playoff games, fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets now. Individual game ticket prices for the playoffs are as follows: $155, $85, $69, $50, $33, $20 and $12. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- INJURY UPDATE Jake Tsakalidis (knee) placed on the injured list on 4/13 to give Ryan Humphrey some playing time before the playoffs started..... Dahntay Jones (triceps) was placed on the injured list earlier in the week with a sprained right triceps but could still make a return to the active roster at some point in the season...Troy Bell (knee) placed on the injured list on 4/2 and will stay there until another injury occurs.....Pau Gasol (foot) returned to action on Tuesday night but is still listed as day-to-day.... Bonzi Wells (back) played for the first time in four game last night but is still listed as day-to-day..... ============================================================================== 看起來票房也不錯^^ 相信在接下來幾天 那剩下的票應該都會賣完 加油囉 Grizz! -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.14.15.139
