Q: Did you take vacation during the offseason?
Shane Battier: “Yes, my wife and I went to a dude ranch.”
Q: What was your favorite movie of the summer?
Shane Battier: “I’m a Will Ferrell fan, so Anchorman. My
favorite DVD is his movie Old School.”
Q: What is your favorite pre-game snack?
Shane Battier: “Animal crackers.”
Q: What is your fondest childhood memory?
Shane Battier: “I pitched a complete game in my Little
League city championship. I struck out 15 and hit a home run.”
Q: What’s your least favorite household chore?
Shane Battier: “Putting away the laundry.”
Q: What are your favorite restaurants in Memphis?
Shane Battier: “McEwen’s, Ronnie Grisanti’s, Sekisui and
Benihana.”
Q: What’s your favorite NBA city other than Memphis?
Shane Battier: “New York, it’s the capital of the world.”
Q: What would you be doing if you weren’t playing in the NBA?
Shane Battier: I’d like to do something that made me look
forward to waking up every day, like I do now.”
