Hantuchova wins

Slovakian second seed Daniela Hantuchova has breezed into the third round of
the ASB Classic in Auckland with an emphatic 6-3 6-1 victory over American
Jill Craybas.
Hantuchova took three sets to defeat her inexperienced opponent Yulia
Beygelzimer in the opening round, but turned on a far more polished performance
in the second round to send Craybas packing.
The Slovakian fired from the start, breaking her opponent's first serve to
signal her tournament aspirations.
However, Craybas refused to concede defeat and Hantuchova was forced to work
hard for every point as she took the opening set 6-3.
The second set started in much the same fashion with both players holding onto
their opening service games.
But when Hantuchova broke the American's serve early in the second set the
match seemed all but over.
Craybas soon fell into a series of unforced errors as Hantuchova tightened
her grip on the match, the Slovakian eventually coasting to a 6-1 second set
win.
"I felt very happy about my serve today," said Hantuchova. "I felt a lot more
confident today than I did yesterday."
