Hello everyone :)
As soon as we landed here, my mom and I were so wonderfully surprised with how
beautiful it is. It's one of the prettiest cities I've ever been to. The little
streets have cute restaurants, the food is amazing and there's creperies at
every corner - that already makes it one of my favorite places! The people are
so nice and the atmosphere of the city is very warm. I can imagine when it's
winter with Christmas and snow, it must be so magically pretty. I'm so glad I
came here.
It feels like home in Monte Carlo, although there's no sea... Hearing all the
French is great. I'm enjoying going into the city and just not doing anything
but getting a coffee and enjoying the atmosphere. I wish I could speak more
French - I haven't picked it up too much yet... it's in my plans for the near
future.
I just came here from New York. Agnieszka and I had a great run in doubles,
making the semifinals. Obviously Lisa and Liezel were playing unbelievable,
they really deserved to win the tournament. We play doubles to have fun, and
when the good results come it's a nice plus. We don't put any pressure on each
other. It's really nice to play with her. And since we went far in the
tournament we were in New York City longer, and we did quite a bit of
shopping ;)
It was an unbelievable men's final today. It's hard to find words to describe
it. I like Nadal and Djokovic a lot. In a match like that they should both be
winners, but what Novak has done this year, all of us players would like to be
there.
We just came back from a nice dinner and I've been getting ready for my match
tomorrow, but now I'm going to get ready to sleep!
