Rumors aren’t results

I have to get this off my chest first. I’ve been talking
about Vlad Radmanovic and Chris Wilcox for a while now and
I felt like they were the type of guys the Hawks could have
really used to help improve this team. I especially like
Radmanovic because he’s a big guy who would be able to play
off of Zaza Pachulia. Anywho.
Let me get to clearing up some more of the Al Harrington
injury drama. Sometimes it pays to wait a minute and listen
to the facts from the people involved before carrying on about
something you’re not as well informed about as you might like.
Long story short: Harrington had his knee looked at as a follow
up to an MRI he had when the Hawks came west this time a year
ago. It was a comparison test so the Hawks’ medical staff
could gauge what kind of wear and tear had or had not formed
since the first MI. Hawks athletic trainer Wally Blase told me
after practice today that they had Harrington’s ankle evaluated
as a precautionary measure and to see if there was any connection
between the problems Harrington has had with both the knee and ankle.
The final results won’t come back until sometime this afternoon,
so check Thursday’s paper for the latest. But again, the rumors
about Harrington’s knee being a serious problem are just that —
rumors. He’s fine and had to be told to get off the practice
floor Tuesday afternoon by Hawks coach Mike woodson.
