Rough schedule on horizon By SEKOU SMITH The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 01/26/06 Hawks coach Mike Woodson knows the friendly January home schedule is soon to come to an end. He knows the Hawks will face a road gauntlet next month that includes games at Seattle, Sacramento and Los Angeles (Lakers). But he also knows that preoccupying his time with thoughts about any thing other than his own team makes little sense. "My whole thing is we still have to continue to take care of home," said Woodson, whose team wraps up a seven-game homestand Friday night against Phoenix. "I like the way we've played, I really do. And if you look at the games we gave away early it hurts. But we've just got to take care of us and not worry about other teams. We've got to keep growing and coming together as a unit and let somebody else worry about all the other stuff that we can't control." ‧ BETTER END OF THE DEAL: Now that the Ron Artest trade saga is finally over, after six grueling weeks of speculation and rumor, Hawks forward Al Harrington said everyone needs to wait just a little bit longer to declare a winner and loserin this affair. "It's a good trade for everybody now, until they start playing with these guys," Harrington said of the deal that sends Artest to Sacramento and All-Star forward Peja Stojakovic to Indiana. "Indiana gets some much needed scoring punch and theKings get that much needed defensive presence they needed so bad. Right now it looks real good. But if Ron-Ron is right, Sacramento will get the better end of that deal." Harrington spent the first six seasons of his career with the Pacers and was mentioned early and often as the player the Pacers were seeking in a trade. The Hawks will see both teams in the next month, they play at Sacramento Feb. 12 and at Indiana Feb. 24. ‧ CLEVELAND, TOO: Cleveland star LeBron James was in town Wednesday night but without the services of guard Larry Hughes, the team's key free-agent acquisition from the summer. Hughes had surgery Jan. 6 to repair a fractured finger and is expected to return in March. 原文轉載 http://www.ajc.com/hawks/content/sports/hawks/stories/0126hawknot.html -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 59.121.65.59
