Delk: 'Nothing but love' for Hawks DELK'S REVIVAL: A sore hamstring kept Detroit guard Tony Delk from playing against his former Hawks teammates Monday night at The Palace of Auburn Hills. But it didn't keep him from catching up with the men he spent nearly two seasons with in Atlanta. "It's good to see all these guys and I'm glad they're playing so much better," Delk said before the game as he greeted Hawks players, coaches and support staff on the court as both teams warmed up. "I've got nothing but love for these guys. Nothing but love." As for venom against the franchise for not playing him before releasing him Feb. 24, Delk said he has none. "All of that is in the past," said Delk, who signed with the Pistons March 1 and averaging 7.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists in eight games with his new team. "The hardest part for me was watching young guys learn a game I already know how to play. But that's the nature of this business sometimes. And honestly, I'm just glad to be in a place like this on a team that is going to compete for a championship. People around this league talk about being a first class organization and all that but few people actually live like that. It's not just talk around here. It's the real thing. From ownership to the team president (Joe Dumars) to the coaching staff and all the players and everyone else involved, it's a first class operation. And that's always a good thing to be a part of as a player in this league." WILLIAMS TO MISS MORE TIME: Hawks rookie Marvin Williams might not rejoin the team for Wednesday's game in Philadelphia, Hawks coach Mike Woodson said. Williams left the team after Sunday's game for North Carolina to be with family by his ailing grandfather's side. He initially said he would try and return in time for the second game of this road trip. But Woodson said that he might not return until the weekend, when the Hawks return home for a Saturday night game against Dallas. STOUDAMIRE UPDATE: Fellow rookie Salim Stoudamire had an MRI on his right elbow Monday afternoon, the results of which weren't immediately known. Woodson said he was cautiously optimistic about Stoudamire's situation and hopeful that he would be able to return by the weekend. "We won't know anything for sure until we find out the results of that MRI," Woodson said. "We're slim right now off the bench without Marvin, Salim and [Tyronn] Lue. But we've got to fight through that and do what we have to do." Lue has been out since last month with a sprained ligament in his right knee. 資料來源 http://www.ajc.com/hawks/content/sports/hawks/stories/0321notes.html -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 59.121.84.239
