I Want to Be #1 Again in 2006!

Justine sounded a warning bell to rivals, and contenders on Monday at media
day by making it clear that one of her targets for 2006 will be to regain the
#1 ranking. Justine will play her opening match at the Porsche Tennis Grand
Prix today at 19:30 hrs.
Justine was only able to play 8 events this season, starting only from March;
yet her success rate is astonishing. She's won three WTA events in a row,
Roland Garros, now ranked #5, and feels that this is only an appetizer of her
ambitions for a full season in 2006.
"I want to be #1 again in 2006. It's not impossible for me. If I am likely to
remain in good health, I will be able to play more often than this year. I
know that I can do it; the motivation is there."
The Belgian wants to win her matches to insure a place in the final 8 for the
WTA championships to be played in Los Angeles next month.
"I am still nursing my injury; but I've decided to go for it. I hope to gain
the maximum amount of matches. This will be a real confidence booster for me".
