Justine takes on France's Virginie Razzano this Friday at Vodafone Arena
about 14:00 hrs (Aus). If the Belgian wins, she'll safely pass the first week
of a grand slam into the second; where dreamers fall wayside to real
contenders.
Unlike, the unknown previous round opponent Sromova, who made her first
career grand slam appearance only on Wednesday, Justine is familiar with
Razzano. They've played each other twice before in 2001 at Gold Coast, and
Roland Garros. Justine's defeated Razzano both times, in two sets. Bragging
rights in beating the 2x Roland Garros champion, and a Belgium-France
francophone rivalry makes Razzano's current rank at #54 not very relevant to
this match. The player from France has a gritty, tenacious style, but Justine
will not be denied. She will do her utmost to charge forward, and regain an
ultimate prize; the Australian Open trophy.
