There was was no getaway car quick enough in New York City to have saved Peer from the fierceness of the Belgian mauling on Arthur Ashe Stadium. Nineteen year old Peer, currently ranked #21 in the world was outplayed, and consumed on center court in the 4th round match by Justine today. The early rising Ashe audience for the first match of the day were in awe of the purity, and aggressive nature of the stylish play by JH2. It was brutal, yet beautiful. There simply was no escape as Justine was unleashed in the first set. It was 6-1 to the Belgian Lioness in 23 minutes. "I walked on the court thinking that it could be a dangerous match because she's a young player and she has a lot of motivation. She's fighting a lot. I knew it could be a tough match. That's probably why I won it pretty easily because I was ready for it. I had a lot of determination, been very focused. Went to the net a lot. Did a couple of serve and volleys. Played an aggressive game. So very happy about what happened on the court" - Justine The second set was more pawing from Justine. The 6-0 scoreline wouldn't matter much, but Shahar Peer is a good player, and one of the best rookies climbing up the WTA ranking charts. JH2's aggressive relentless all court game, gave Peer no breathing room. Every return by Justine was an ardent challenge, every serve was played as if match point by the 5x grand slam champion. Tropical Storm Ernesto may have left the city area, but a lioness is loose in Flushing Meadows. Final Score 6-1 6-0 in 50 min -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.229.33.116
