Justine barely had time to clean the red clay from her socks at Roland Garros
for a fourth Suzanne Lenglen trophy, but she flies out on Sunday to
Eastbourne, England for Wimbledon preparations at the International Women's
Open. The tournament draw was created this afternoon (Saturday June 16). Our
World #1 is the defending champion, and #1 seed for this event.
Other notable players at the International Women's Open are Amelie Mauresmo,
Nadia Petrova, Elena Dementieva, Ai Sugiyama, Lucie Safarova, Shahar Peer,
and Maria Kirilenko. Justine as the top seed will receive a bye for the first
round, and most likely play on Wednesday. The schedule of the tournament will
have the quarterfinals on Thursday, the semi-finals on Friday and the final
on Saturday. All matches are weather permitting.

Justine's Grass Court Opponents at Eastbourne?
Justine begins her opening round against the winner of Agnieska Radwanksa or
Qualifier. The world #1 then will most likely face Nicole Vaidisova in the
quarterfinals. The semi-finals could be Elena Dementieva, Alicia Molik or
Marion Bartoli. The finals maybe against one of the top seeds of the bottom
half of the draw Amelie Mauresmo, Nadia Petrova, Shahar Peer, and Li Na or
the perhaps solid grass courter Ai Sugiyama or on the rise Lucie Safarova and
coming into grass court form Maria Kirilenko.
