WIMBLEDON 07 - Q Quarters

Justine glided into the quarterfinals by defeating Patty Schnyder 6-2 6-2 in
56 minutes. A cool as ice Belgian tamed the tricky Swiss lefty in this rain
delayed match on Center Court. Justine will play her round of eight match
against Daniela Hantuchova or Serena Williams on Tuesday.
Justine told the Belgian media last Friday that she considered Patty her
first real test at this year's Wimbledon. Their most recent meeting was a
tough three setter in Doha earlier in the season. Nothing was left to chance
by Justine as she immediately broke Patty in the opening service game. The
Belgian tennis queen never gave any space on court for the talented Swiss to
utilize her gold stamped left handed forehand nor the dangerous lefty kick
serve out wide. The returns from Justine went hard, low and to the Schnyder
backhand.
The swirls of wind sent a few wayward swings from both players, but a
tranquil Justine came out on top in the volleys, and lobs department. A very
calm Henin also kept the emotional tension on an even keel throughout the two
sets as Schnyder's fustration started to become apparent with double faults
on her usual trust worthy service holds.
Final Score 6-2 6-2 in 56 minutes
