Brook Lopez - 12.3 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 1.9 bpg
Lopez has been the best rookie center by far, and that includes 2007 #1 pick,
Greg Oden. He's a huge reason why the Nets are just outside the playoffs
despite the fact that their front office's main focus has been on 2010. He's
produced consistently while also showing the ability to put up some big
games. He won't win Rookie of the Year, but he's already got "Best Rookie
Center" locked up.
In the second half, Lopez needs to...grow hair like his brother's. No one
realizes the type of year Brook is having, but hair like Robin's would get
attention worthy of his production.
Biggest Surprises:
D.J. Augustin - 12.8 ppg, 4 apg
I dont think any Bobcats' fan was happy with this selection, but he's been
very good. Augustin is one of only three rookies averaging better than 12
points and 4 assists per game.
In the second half, Augustin needs to...shoot better from inside the arc. He
shoots 41% from 3, which is very good, but his 41% overall is too low for a
shooter of his quality.
