[情報] Bobcats a fit for Davis?
We've previously touched on Baron Davis likely being a trade piece for the
Clippers, as rookie Eric Bledsoe is proving to be the future of the team at
PG going forward.
But with a balky knee and a sizable contract (three years, $41.85 million) to
his name, the suitor list for Davis would appear to be short.
But one team that could be a fit? The Bobcats.
"The turnover-prone Bobcats could use help at point guard," wrote Marc J.
Spears of Yahoo! Sports. " ... If Charlotte acquires a point guard, it needs
to be someone who is a clear upgrade over D.J. Augustin. Gilbert Arenas is
not among the candidates, but Baron Davis could emerge as a possibility.
Davis still has three years and $41 million left on his contract, but has
ties to Bobcats general manager Rod Higgins and swingman Stephen Jackson from
his days with the Golden State Warriors."
In addition, Bobcats head coach Larry Brown has proven an effective
personality manager for players of Davis' disposition, so it could be a
smoother transition for him than if he ends up getting dealt to another squad
with a different coach.
But for now, this Charlotte scenario is simply connecting the dots -- not an
imminent trade destination for Davis.
