Tottenham manager Martin Jol:
"It is always difficult and I think the three players making
their debuts came through well.
"Liverpool is a difficult team to beat. They don't give away
a lot but we still had three chances.
"I thought we did a terrific job. We showed we wanted to win.
There are a lot of positives."
Liverpool boss Rafeal Benitez:
"It was an exciting game. It was two teams trying to win.
"For me the most important thing is that we have a clean
sheet and we have to continue to work hard in attack.
"The problem is if you do not create opportunities but we
have done. The question now is just to have a bit of luck."
