Injury ends Marney's Norwich loan
On-loan Norwich midfielder Dean Marney has returned to Tottenham after
being ruled out for three months with a ruptured Achilles tendon.
The 21-year-old sustained the injury during the first half of the 1-0 defeat
by Sheffield Wednesday at Carrow Road.
It is the latest in a long list of injuries to have hit under-fire manager
Nigel Worthington's squad this season.
Worthington told the club's official website: 'It's very disappointing and
frustrating both for the player and for myself. Dean is an excellent young
midfielder who is always willing to learn and improve.
'He will now go back to Spurs for treatment by their team and Norwich
City will be there to provide any help and support required.'
