An accomplished and often comfortable performance against the champions looked set to yield what would have been a valuable point, before a failure to clear our lines offered the opportunity for William Gallas to steer the ball high past Paul Robinson deep into stoppage time. Just before half-time Jermaine Jenas levelled after Michael Essien's opener for the home side. "It is similar to at Leicester, Sunderland and other times this season," sighed Martin. "Instead of trying to play a clever ball we must get it up into their half. The last minute again, it is unbelievable. "I must give credit to the lads though, in the second half we made a decision to play with a bit more of a rigid formation and could have scored when JJ had a chance - he scored a good goal before half-time. "They were very dangerous in the first half on the break, but we made some corrections at half-time and got better. "They tried to hit the space throught Wright-Phillips in the first half and Lee Young-Pyo defended better in the second. "With one minute to go we didn't clear the ball - if we had would would have won a good point. It wasn't a great display, but a professional one from the lads and then we give away a goal.
