新聞來源 - Sky Sports Ifil earns his Spurs Tottenham defender Phil Ifil has signed a new deal at the club. The 19-year-old is highly rated within the corridors of White Hart Lane and is tipped for a big future in the game. Ifil, who had two spells on loan at Millwall last season, made his first appearance of the campaign in Wednesday's Carling Cup win over Port Vale. Spurs boss Martin Jol was delighted to tie down the full back to an extended contract. "I wanted him to extend his contract because I think he is a terrific player," Jol told the club's official website. "He made his debut a couple of years ago when he was 17 and he has shown me that he wants to be a Spurs player - and he proved that on Wednesday. "Paul Stalteri and Pascal Chimbonda were out and he did the job.
