新聞來源 - Sky Sports Jol backing Berbatov Tottenham manager Martin Jol believes it is only a matter of time before Dimitar Berbatov lights up The Premiership. The Bulgaria international hit-man has just one league goal to his name following a high-profile move from Bayer Leverkusen over the summer. However, Berbatov continues to impress in the Uefa Cup and showed his class with the game-winning goal against his former club Bayer on Thursday. Although Berbatov's league form has been up and down, Jol is delighted with his displays in Europe and knows it will not be long before the Premiership goals come. "It's a matter of time," said Jol. "Every time we play in Europe he is outstanding. "In the league he's not as good yet but he has all the talent - we are pretty confident he will be the same player he was in Germany for his last two or three seasons over here. "He played here for five years and was a young guy when he came over, so he was a bit sensitive. "He could have scored a bit more and in a couple of situations he was selfish in front of goal, it was a night for four or five goals." Meanwhile, Jol is playing down his side's chances of going all the way in the Uefa Cup due to their European experience. "We don't have the experience, there are a couple of other good teams with not a lot of experience," he continued. "There are teams who will drop from the Champions League so who are we to say we can win the competition? "We will certainly try but it is important who our next opponents will be.
