新聞來源 - Sky Sports Keane 'gutted' to be out Robbie Keane admits he is devastated to be missing the next six weeks with a knee injury. The striker damaged medial ligaments during Tottenham Hotspur's 2-1 home win over Middlesbrough on Tuesday. Keane will now be out until the New Year and the Irishman concedes it will be a difficult period for him, particularly given the upcoming Christmas programme. "I am absolutely devastated," Keane told the club's official website. "Ask the physios, I am the worst person to be around when I'm injured, I'm not good at all. "I just love playing games and this is a kick in the teeth for me. "The doctor said it will be five to six weeks, probably leaning more towards six, with it being a ligament problem. "I am just gutted and have just got to work hard to get back as soon as I can. "We're coming into a busy period and I wanted to be involved in it. It will be the first time I've missed a Christmas since I was 17 and I won't like it." Meanwhile, Martin Jol concedes Keane's injury will lead to Jermain Defoe being handed an extended run in the team. Jol said: "If Robbie is not there, it's a disadvantage for us because we have to play Jermain Defoe and if you see the last game, Robbie came on and his first touch was a goal.
