Kaboul spurned trio for Spurs
Younes Kaboul has revealed he chose to join Tottenham over Lyon, Chelsea and
Juventus.
Spurs have paid Auxerre in the region of 7.5million for the France Under 21
international defender, who is the third new arrival at White Hart Lane this
summer.
Kaboul says he could have opted for Lyon, Chelsea or Juventus, but believes he
made the right choice in signing for Martin Jol's men.
"Why did I choose Tottenham? Simply because it is the Premier League," the
21-year-old told France Football.
"It is true there was contact with Lyon, but maybe Tottenham showed more
desire to sign me.
"Considering the clubs which were following me, Chelsea and Juventus, people
are surprised by my decision, and they tell me I chose a smaller club.
"But I believe it is a wise choice."
