新聞來源 - Sky Sports Poyet happy with Spurs' style Tottenham first-team coach Gus Poyet insists the team's performance against Blackburn was the kind of showing he wants to see week in, week out. Spurs opened the scoring through Dimitar Berbatov after good work from Jermaine Jenas after just seven minutes, and then controlled the early stages of the game. But Blackburn hit back after half an hour through Morten Gamst Pedersen and the game could have gone either way from that point onwards. Yet Tottenham played some good passing football throughout and, following the 4-1 humiliation against Newcastle the previous week, Poyet feels that this is the more like the type of performance he expects from his side. "That's the football we want to play week in, week out: to be in position, to have the ball, pass it around, moving, changing positions," he told Sky Sports. "It's very easy to say, but it's sometimes difficult because of the opposition. Overall, I think we played very well today. "We have to play the last games of the season at the same level, to show we can be a good team week in, week out not only every now and then. "We know and we are convinced that we have what it takes to play every week at this level. "I think we did push a lot. We tried to go for the game all the time and the players showed that. "We played some good football today. It was quite open sometimes, but it was a good game for the supporters, so we have to go home happy." Blackburn boss Mark Hughes appeared incensed when a penalty shout was waved away after David Bentley collided with Spurs substitute Gilberto, but Poyet believes referee Peter Walton made the right decision. "I think Bentley's run into Gilberto to be fair," said Poyet.
