Ramos hints at changes
Tottenham head coach Juande Ramos has hinted at ringing the changes to his
squad between now and the end of the season.
Although the former Sevilla manager is determined Spurs end their Premier
League campaign on a high he is also keen to assess the players he inherited
in October.
Ramos has no intention is letting the team's season fizzle out following
their Carling Cup glory, but he is also keeping one eye on their summer
transfer activity.
With that in mind he has hinted at giving some players a chance to fight for
their futures at White Hart Lane or nudge them towards the exit door.
"We have got nine games left until the end of the season so it is a case of
looking at those nine games and assessing the players in that period and
starting to make decisions about squad changes or reinforcements in the
summer," said Ramos.
"We definitely want to keep trying our best until the end of the season.
"We are in a comfortable position - we are in no danger of going down, that
has gone now, but we certainly want to get as high as we can in the league
table.
"In spite of the fact that maybe points don't have the same meaning as they
did earlier in the season we are all professionals and we will be looking for
any signs of people not trying.
"We want to do our best all the way through - both the management and the
players."
