Juande Ramos was delighted our points tally finally reflected a performance as we ended a run of draws with victory at Reading. Saturday's encounter followed a familiar pattern of late with us completely dominating possession and chances but after four successive 1-1 draws in the Barclays Premier League, Robbie Keane's goal this time secured all three points. Keano's goal after 16 minutes - his 23rd, topping his previous best - was the least we deserved after a fine first half in which we produced some of our best football on the road this season. Kevin Doyle blocked Steed Malbranque's goalbound effort, Marcus Hahnemann saved from Keane and Bent, Malbranque's 'goal' was ruled offside - replays showed he was a yard onside - Liam Rosenoir blocked Keane in front of goal and then, into the second half, Bent cracked the inside of the post. Reading finally called Radek Cerny into serious action in the final five minutes with fine saves from Dave Kitson and Rosenoir but there was only one rightful home for the three points. "In the last few games we’ve played good football but the results haven’t gone the right way for us," reflected Juande at the Madejski Stadium. "This time we played well and had an infinite number of chances to win by a greater margin but we still continue without the final touch to enable us to do that. "But we played well and although we should have finished the game off earlier, we completely dominated the play." Juande was particularly pleased with our possession and one-touch football. "We planned to take control of the game and control of the ball and the players did it. That led to the chances to score the goals." Meanwhile, the Head Coach confirmed that Dimitar Berbatov and Aaron Lennon missed out because of injury.
