Didier Zokora kicks-off a busy summer of international action with a friendly
for Ivory Coast in Japan on Thursday.
The midfielder faces Paraguay in Yokohama before playing Japan in Toyota on
Saturday.
Didier's attention will then focus on World Cup qualifying with four vital
matches this summer.
The Ivory Coast have been drawn against Mozambique, Madagascar and Botswana
in Group Seven of African qualifying. It’s doubtful whether any Spurs player
has ever had to face such interesting trips before and Didier knows these are
places which can be difficult to play football.
“It is completely different from playing games in Europe," he said. "The
pitches are not too good and the teams sometimes play an aggressive style of
football because they want to cause an upset against us. We played Madagascar
before and won 5-0 and 3-0, so we should be able to win these games again.”
