新聞來源 - Sky Sports Roman keen to repay faith Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko has conceded he feels 'a big sense of responsibility' to fill the void left by Dimitar Berbatov's exit. Bulgaria international Berbatov enjoyed two terrific years at White Hart Lane, netting 27 Premier League goals, before signing for Manchester United on transfer deadline day. Spurs boss Juande Ramos opted to rework his frontline with the capture of Pavlyuchenko from Spartak Moscow for a fee of ￡13.8million. The North London club have endured a testing start to the new term, and Russian forward Pavlyuchenko - who is currently sidelined with injury - admits he is under pressure to supply Ramos with firepower. He told FourFourTwo magazine: "I do feel a big sense of responsibility. Berbatov scored a lot of goals for Spurs. "That's why they bought me, to score goals and win matches. That's always my main ambition and motivation. I now have to prove I can do it in England. "I can safely say that the physical side of the English game doesn't scare me. It's all about proper preparation, being in the right shape. "I know English football is tough, but if you have the ability and you prepare properly, then you have a good chance to succeed. "I don't really worry about adapting to the style, or about anything on the football side. "Spurs have shown faith in me, and I have faith in myself. Only time will tell if I do well, but I'm confident that I will. The only problem right now is the language.
