Where does Iverson End Up? Heading into free agency very few people expected Allen Iverson to be receiving any sort of serious interest from teams only three days into the whole process, but his agent has been very active and "The Answer" is getting sniffs. Memphis, Charlotte, Miami, and maybe even Chicago are possible destinations for Iverson, but which of those four is most likely? Chicago– News of a possible sign-and-trade for Iverson in that Ben-Gordon-to-Detroit deal are purely speculative, but it doesn't seem entirely likely that a coach like Vinny Del Negro can handle this guy. Not only that, but part of the reason letting Gordon walk is okay is because it opens up playing time for the solid backcourt players the Bulls already have. The desire to have a hefty trade exception makes sense for the Bulls, but the Iverson portion of things just doesn't. Memphis – Let's be honest about this; Iverson thinks he could fit in Memphis because Memphis has the best chance of any team to offer him any sort of serious money. With O.J. Mayo and Rudy Gay already demanding a lot of playing time and shots, Iverson just doesn't really seem to fit there. This is a young team, and spending money on a grizzled vet isn't the smartest move. Charlotte– If the first two options were relatively improbable, the next two are the ones that could actually happen. Larry Brown obviously has a history with Iverson and knows how to deal with him as a player. The Bobcats also definitely have room for a starting-caliber shooting guard, and considering they came pretty close to sneaking into the playoffs last year, Iverson could be the guy to push them in for the first time in franchise history. This one could actually happen. Miami – Pat Riley has already contacted Iverson about coming to play in Miami, which could be an interesting fit for him. Erik Spoelstra is himself a younger coach but certainly has experience in dealing with veterans. He'd be a fun fit in South Florida with Dwyane Wade and Jermaine O'Neal. Iverson's not necessarily on the top of any team's list, but it looks like those rumors of him bolting to Europe were just as ridiculous as we thought they were.
