The big hold up was indeed the fourth year as we've been discussing in this space for the better part of 10 days. The compromise reached between both sides was a three-year deal worth $25 million, with a team option for a fourth year worth $8 million. The catch is that should the Lakers decline the 4th year, Odom would receive a $2 million roster cut bonus making the total guaranteed value of the deal $27 million, with a possible value of $33 million if the Lakers keep him on the roster. Lamar got what was originally offered, he got his fourth year and some level of protection should the Lakers opt to go in a different direction in three years. Now the Miami HEAT move on to plan B. Word is that Jamaal Tinsley's agent Raymond Brothers promised Pat Riley a face-to-face meeting with Jamaal before they made any deals and that Riley might be open to a deal using Miami's Bi-Annual exception worth $1.9 million (supposedly what other teams are offering). That meeting is supposed to take place this weekend. Allen Iverson has also had talks with Miami, and is said to be strongly considering the HEAT, but they will not go into their median exception for Iverson, even on a one-year deal. That stance may change now that Odom is off the board. Iverson is said to have talked with the Knicks this last week and league sources close to the situation characterize Iverson as having several teams to choose from most offering $5 million or more for next season. Iverson is said to be looking for the right situation to re-start his career after a dreadful showing in Detroit and is far more concerned about roster composition and fit than anything else. Ramon Sessions is on the HEAT radar, but sources near Sessions say he is expecting a multi-year offer from the Knicks that could be worth more than $4 million per season. The HEAT are unwilling to invade their 2010 cap space for a long-term deal with Sessions unless it's through a sign-and-trade deal, something the HEAT and Bucks have not discussed. With Odom off the market it does look like a small domino effect will occur now that Miami is looking to make some deals - Iverson, Tinsley and Sessions could all come off the market in the coming days. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 118.165.120.241
