News: Westbrook allowed four hits and two runs over two innings, striking out
two in a rehab start at Double-A Akron on Tuesday. He had Tommy John surgery
in June 2008
Impact: Westbrook was 1-2 with a 3.13 ERA in five games in 2008 before being
shut down due to the injury. He declared himself 90 percent back. There is
still no time table for his return.

Westbrook update
In his first rehab start in a month, Jake Westbrook pitched two innings,
giving up two runs on four hits with two strikeouts and no walks for Akron
vs. Connecticut Tuesday night.
Wedge said Westbrook's outing produced "no red flags,'' although Wedge said
no decision has been made when Westbrook will make his next rehab start.
Westbrook, who had Tommy John surgery in June of last year, had hoped to be
pitching for the Indians by now, but his rehab hasn't gone as smoothly as
hoped.
